Over the years, the two brothers have built a large and passionate community on social media, reaching more than 1 million subscribers on YouTube. Their journey began with something much simpler than numbers and statistics: the desire to have fun together and create videos because they genuinely enjoyed doing it. Behind the success of PirlasV is therefore not only a YouTube channel, but also the story of two brothers who managed to transform something they loved doing in their free time into a real professional journey.

We at Daniel Vision Lab decided to contact them to discover more about their beginnings, their creative process, their relationship with their audience, and their vision for the future.

Why did you start making videos on YouTube?

We started making videos on YouTube in 2015 because it was our favorite way to spend time. We genuinely enjoyed creating content together, and at the beginning, we did it purely for fun. Numbers, views, and subscribers were never what motivated us. Their journey began at a time when YouTube was becoming an increasingly influential space for young creators. For Pier Francesco and Gabriele, the platform represented an opportunity to experiment, have fun, and share their ideas without the pressure of immediately turning their passion into a profession. One of their main inspirations during those early years was
Theshow , whose content helped spark their interest in creating videos and exploring the possibilities of YouTube. Watching other creators experiment with entertainment and digital storytelling gave them the motivation to pick up a camera and begin developing their own approach. What started as a simple way to spend their free time would eventually become much more than a hobby. Looking back, the absence of an initial focus on numbers may have been one of the elements that allowed PirlasV to grow naturally, building their identity around creativity, spontaneity, and genuine enjoyment of content creation.

What advice would you give to someone who wants to become a YouTuber?

For PirlasV, the first rule is simple: don’t start by thinking about numbers. They believe that someone who wants to become a YouTuber should first focus on having fun and creating content they genuinely enjoy. Success, however, is not guaranteed. According to them, becoming successful as a creator is difficult and only a small percentage of people who try will manage to turn it into a real career. This makes perseverance extremely important. YouTube may appear simple from the outside: turn on a camera, record a video, and upload it. In reality, behind every successful channel there is creativity, consistency, time, experimentation, and the ability to understand what an audience wants without completely losing your own identity. They also believe that the Italian YouTube community has become increasingly united, with creators collaborating more frequently with one another. For them, this can only be positive because collaboration can bring new ideas, new audiences, and greater quality to the platform.

We often take inspiration from American YouTubers, while other times ideas come to us when we take some time to simply think about them. For PirlasV, creativity has never followed a single formula. At times, inspiration comes from observing the work of other creators, particularly American YouTubers. On other occasions, the most compelling ideas emerge naturally, when they step away from the constant rhythm of content creation and allow themselves the time to think. Over the years, this balance between external influences and personal reflection has become an essential part of their creative process. Producing videos consistently requires a continuous search for new ways to entertain an audience, experiment with different concepts, and avoid repetition. Inspiration can come from countless sources, but the real challenge lies in transforming those influences into something distinctive, something that reflects their own personality and creative identity. As their channel has grown, so too has their relationship with YouTube. What began in 2015 as a way for two brothers to have fun and share their ideas gradually evolved into a much more significant part of their lives. Greater visibility brought new opportunities, higher expectations, and an increasingly large audience following their work. With that growth came a greater awareness of the responsibility that accompanies having a community of people who regularly invest their time and attention in what they create.
