Photography, to me, is not an attempt to stop time. It is a way of accompanying it with awareness, delicacy, and respect. I imagine it as a paper boat entrusted to the current: fragile, free, and capable of carrying emotions that resurface each time we look at them.
An image does not make an emotion eternal, but it can awaken it, bring it back to life, and transform it into something new. It is a bridge between what has been and what we feel in the present, an invitation to remember through imagination.
As Ferdinando Scianna said, “Remembering is the same as imagining.” In that phrase, I find the deepest meaning of my work.
