With more than 12,000 followers on Instagram, Fabio de lillo paparesta
moves between seemingly different worlds: education, acting and medical biotechnology. Daniel Vision Lab spoke with him to explore the person behind the profile, his professional journey and the experiences that continue to shape his creative and personal identity.

abio De Lillo Paparesta, born in Bari and now living in Como, class of 1991, has built a solid presence on Instagram, where he counts more than 12,000 followers thanks to his skills and growing visibility. At Daniel‑balan.it, we decided to reach out to him to learn more about his story.

As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up? What studies did you pursue?

As a child, I dreamed of doing the classic jobs such as firefighter or doctor. I must say that my path eventually led me somewhere completely different. During my academic journey, I earned both a Bachelor’s degree and a Master’s degree.At the moment, I am teaching in a high school, working in a hospital as a medical biotechnologist, and acting for Mediaset and other productions.

To be a good actor you certainly need to study, but you also need boldness and a great deal of humility. As he explains, you do not get anywhere by feeling like someone important. For him, acting is a craft that requires preparation, discipline and the ability to accept guidance, because every role is an ongoing exercise in personal and professional growth. His inspiration is driven by his immense imagination, a quality that allows him to enter each character with authenticity. At the same time, he is guided by the people behind the scenes, highly skilled and extraordinary professionals who know how to direct everyone with precision, creating an environment where every detail contributes to an excellent final result. He speaks of them with genuine admiration, emphasizing how their expertise shapes the rhythm of the set and elevates the quality of every production. He explains that he does not follow a specific ritual before stepping in front of the camera. Instead, he prefers to ease the tension by making a few jokes or sharing a laugh with the others, creating a lighter atmosphere that helps dissolve pressure. Before that, however, he always takes a few minutes of quiet reflection, a moment he uses to clearly frame what he needs to do or say once filming begins. It is his way of finding the right balance between concentration and spontaneity, entering the scene with clarity, calm and the emotional presence required to deliver his best. He adds that this combination of preparation, teamwork and human connection is what makes the world of acting so fascinating. Every set becomes a small universe where creativity, discipline and trust intertwine, and where each person contributes to transforming a script into something alive

He explains that the director usually gives you the chance to take a moment, regain your focus and reread your lines, ensuring you enter the scene with clarity. He adds that improvisation is something typically embraced by seasoned actors, but not by him, as he prefers to stay faithful to the script and to the guidance provided on set.

Why, besides working as a commercial actor, are you also a teacher and a medical biotechnologist? What inspires you to do all of this?

He explains that he has always liked the idea of teaching. In his view, a teacher with many stories to tell is naturally closer to students and can help them in different ways, both academically and personally. He began his studies in biotechnology many years ago, driven by a deep curiosity and fascination for the world of medicine, a field that continues to inspire him. Fabio De Lillo says he constantly aims to improve and never seeks permanent stability. He likes the idea of having multiple paths in life, a way to work hard while still enjoying himself. For him, versatility is not just a choice but a philosophy: the more experiences you cultivate, the more complete you become.

When will we see you again in a television commercial?

He admits he has no idea. However, he reveals that there are projects he is currently working on which, once finalized, will be announced publicly. For now, he prefers to keep things under wraps, focusing on the process rather than the spotlight.
